Dr. Christine Navarro
Public Health Physician
Communicable Disease Control
“One of the main reasons I joined Public Health Ontario in 2021 is to help generate the knowledge that informs and supports public health units in making evidence-based decisions. In my previous roles in local public health, I looked to Public Health Ontario’s published knowledge products when providing advice and making decisions. As a Public Health Physician at Public Health Ontario, I am now able to contribute to the scientific literature and develop resources and tools that inform policy and practice. I am able to use the skills set I have developed as an epidemiologist and Public Health & Preventive Medicine specialist to inform my approach, and in this way contribute to the health of Ontarians.”
